Dear Parents and Community Members:
We are pleased to present you with the Annual Education Report (AER) which provides key information on the 2009-2010 educational progress for Harper Woods Middle School. The AER addresses the complex reporting information required by federal and state laws. The school’s report contains information about student assessment, Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) and teacher quality. If you have any questions about the AER, please contact Mr. Peter Newman for assistance.
In an effort to prepare and comply with graduation requirements for the Class of 2016, we are very happy to report that we have established a new World Language Program. I would like to congratulate the students and staff in the Middle School for the significant improvement realized on last year’s standardized tests. As always, I would like to thank the community for its continued and unrivaled support of education in Harper Woods, and we look forward to our continued progress toward educational excellence for all our students.
Sincerely,
Peter R. Newman, Assistant Principal
