Harper Woods Dad's Club

Dads’ Club meets the first Thursday of each month at the Harper Woods Community Center (located on the Harper Avenue Service Drive, one block north of Allard). Doors open at 7 pm. Meeting starts at 7:30 pm.

Dues are $25 and can be paid at our monthly meetings.

Dads’ Club supports secondary school sports programs and provides two $1000 scholarships for the most deserving male and female senior students who excel in sports and academics. We sponsor the Annual All High School Sports Awards Dinner every May at the Community Center. Along with other local civic organizations and the City of Harper Woods Parks and Recreation Department, the Dads' Club makes a generous contribution to support the "Christmas Basket Program" directed to needy families in our community.

Our major fundraisers are:
  • A Christmas Wreath sale
  • Food and beverage sales at varsity football and basketball games
  • An annual pancake breakfast and raffle the last Sunday of February at the Community Center
  • An annual classic car show
  • A Lenten Friday Fish Fry
  • 50/50 drawings at all monthly membership meetings and most sponsored events
We encourage all fathers of high school athletes to attend a meeting and see for yourself what the Dads’ Club is all about.

Beer and pizza is served after each meeting. Card games are known to break out after most meetings.

For more information contact President Chuck Garman at 313-304-4690.
